Calma. O 2º semestre tem sido sempre de subidas a seguir a um 1º semestre a andar de lado.

Na altura da apresentação de resultados em meados de Julho é quando costuma terminar a lateralização. A não ser que as expetativas sejam abaixo do normal, o que não há sinais de estar a acontecer.

Pois por isso mesmo, para a maior parte do pessoal é fantasia. Assim tipo um Ferrari.

A Apple é reconhecida pelos seus produtos de topo "exclusivos", mas nem só disso vive a empresa. Por exemplo, o Macbook Air tem um preço bastante competitivo para a sua categoria (cerca de € 1.200).

Mas este até vale bem o que custa -- écran retina 2880x1800, disco flash de 500G, gráfica com 1 G, 8G de RAM, 2 kg, bateria para 7 horas... está mesmo no topo do que é tecnicamente possível nos dias de hoje.

Claro que 3000 aéreos é muita fruta, mas também, há sapatos mais caros que isso e vendem-se...

Seja como for, só mesmo a Apple se atreveria a apresentar um produto assim.

É certo que estão a recuperar das fortes quedas de segunda e terça, mas os ganhos seguem muito ligeiros.

No que toca a warrants julgo ser mais prudente entrar em Setembro em warrants com maturidade em Março ou mesmo Maio, sobretudo pelo histórico da acção, que tende a valorizar muito mais no 4º e 1º trimestre do que propriamente no 3º.
Mas é só uma opinião.

All signs point to Facebook iPhone integration on iOS 6

After Apple CEO Tim Cook dropped a major, yet subtle hint last week, it seems Facebook integration is indeed coming to the iPhone, according to the latest Web reports.

Facebook will become fully immersed within iOS as soon as its next update, which could and in all likeliness will be revealed next week at Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference.

The integration will be similar to that of Twitter's, which came last year with iOS 5, and will allow users to post articles on the Web to Facebook the same way they can tweet them now.

But along with that sort of integration, Facebook's addition to the iPhone and iPad ecosystem will be beneficial for apps that use Facebook's connect button to allow users to sign in.

The integration will get rid of the way Facebook connect currently works on the iPhone, in which one app shoots you over to Facebook which then swings you back, and will streamline the process, according to TechCrunch -- which reported Facebook integration is definitely happening.

Facebook's welcoming into iOS should be beneficial for the social network as it tries to calm fears that it can't monetize its mobile users, but the partnership should also be helpful for Apple because it could also bring a feature that would help users discover new apps.

"App Liking" will be a part of the integration, and is a feature that will let users "Like" apps from within the iPhone App Store, which would cause a post to be shared on their Facebook Timeline. That post would show the app to their friends and users could also post an accompanying status, according to 9 to 5 Mac, which says the feature would help Apple fix its app discover-ability problem.

But the news isn't too surprising. Cook said Apple had great respect for Facebook when he was asked about its integration at the D10 conference last week, and other recent actions have also pointed to a friendlier relationship between the two companies.

"I think we can do more with them," he said. "Just stay tuned on this one.”

Facebook declined to comment.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) May Announce iTV In December – Piper Jaffray

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) shares climbed 0.93% to $567.68 in the pre-market hour.

Apple’s (AAPL) rumored television, known as the iTV or iPanel, is likely to be announced in December and ship next year.

The iTV is expected to range in screen sizes from 42 to 55 inches and cost in between $1,500 to $2,000, according to analyst Gene Munster from Piper Jaffray. The analyst had predicted that the stock will hit 1,000 within two years. The shares closed at $562.99 in Friday’s trading session, declining only 0.54%.

However, Forrester Research analyst James McQuivey said that Apple would be foolish to come out with just another TV display, no matter how elegant it is. He also added that TV business is a tough nut to crack and content is still controlled by monopolists and they are unlikely to give Apple the keys to their content archives. However, simply introducing a new display on which to watch that content as it is currently delivered by existing distributors won’t offer consumers much that’s new.

Instead, McQuivey hopes Apple will come out with “the world’s first non-TV TV.” He also said that instead of selling a replacement for the TV, Apple should convince millions of Apple fans that they need a new screen in their lives, which should be called the iHub, a 32-inch screen with touch, gesture, voice, and iPad control that can be hung on the wall wherever the family assembles for planning, talking, or eating in more and more U.S. homes, that room is the dining room or eat-in kitchen.

Um dos rumores do dia é a respeito de uma nova versão do iOS para a Apple TV, que seria apresentada (em forma de versão beta) na apresentação da WWDC (conferência mundial dos desenvolvedores da Apple) no próximo dia 11 de junho.

Muito tem se falado sobre um possível lançamento de uma televisão da Apple (ou seja, o aparelho inteiro e não só um acessório), mas nós do Blog ainda não acreditamos nesta possibilidade, apostando mais em uma valorização da Apple TV como uma ferramenta que potencializaria as TVs existentes. E um passo para isso poderia ser dado já na WWDC, com uma prévia da modernização do seu sistema.

O site BGR (que tem acertado e errado muito ultimamente em matéria de rumores) afirma ter ouvido de “fontes confiáveis” que a Apple estaria se preparando para mostrar o sistema que seria usado na futura televisão (iTV?) e que poderá equipar também a última Apple TV 1080p, lançada este ano. A princípio, os modelos mais antigos não seriam compatíveis.

Por enquanto, tudo não passa de boato. Só saberemos mesmo, com certeza, quando a Apple anunciar oficialmente. E segundo o BGR, isso deve acontecer no dia 11.

Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL ) shares may have been waffling about in recent weeks, but it's not a crime to dream bigger.

Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster reiterated his bullish call on the company. He outlined several catalysts that will drive the stock toward his price target of $910 -- and then out to $1,000 and beyond.

That magically round four-digit number seems far away these days. The stock has meandered since hitting an all-time high last month. However, it's not as if the market should be shocked if Apple finds its way up to that meaty $1,000 milestone sooner rather than later.

Cheap is relative
Let's put things into proper perspective. Apple at $1,000 translates into a market cap of nearly $950 billion, but keep in mind that the class act of Cupertino has $110.2 billion in cash and long-term investments on its balance sheet. In other words, Apple at $1,000 with its top-heavy balance sheet calls for an enterprise value closer to $850 billion.

Apple's balance sheet is an important component in valuing the company. After all, on a market-cap basis, Apple is fetching 12 times this fiscal year's projected profitability, and a little more than 10 times next year's forecast. Back out the company's net cash to weigh Apple on the fairer enterprise value basis, and the multiples drop by roughly 20%. Yes, Apple really is fetching just 10 times this year's earnings and 8 times next fiscal year's target.

Now let's look at Apple with a share price of $1,000. Its P/E starts looking more like P.U. at that point. Apple would be priced at 21 times this fiscal year's earnings and less than 19 times next year's earnings. That doesn't seem like much of a bargain, especially as analysts see revenue and earnings growth slowing to 20% and 15% respectively in 2013.

Stack that up against Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU ) . Analysts see China's dot-com darling growing revenue and earnings by 42% and 39% respectively next year, and it's only fetching 18 times 2013's earnings. Is Apple really worth a slightly higher multiple at less than half the growth?

Well, when you back out the company's cash -- and it would be closer to 13% of Apple's market cap at $1,000 -- the fiscal 2013 multiple on an enterprise cap basis is closer to 16. Oh, and even with Apple's new dividend and next year's buybacks, the company's cash hoard will continue to grow with every passing quarter.

Target practice
Another thing that makes Apple cheaper than it seems on paper is that it's a pretty safe bet that the tech darling is going to obliterate Wall Street's estimates.

With the exception of a rare miss two quarters ago, Apple has consistently landed ahead of market profit expectations for years. Outside of that Halley's Comet of a miss, Apple has landed ahead of analyst bottom-line forecasts by 34%, 37% and 23% over the past year.

This is ridiculously encouraging -- and probably by more than you think.

It's not just that dozens of well-paid analysts are perpetually underestimating Apple's reality. It's that they are way off the further out they go.

See, we can't just look at the average percentage that Apple has historically achieved in its beats. Let's look at the past year. Let's add in the 5% miss during Apple's September quarter, even if it stemmed largely from analysts underestimating the impact of the iPhone 4S being released after the period came to a close. We're still talking about Apple landing ahead of the prognosticators by an average of 22%.

The knee-jerk bullish reaction would be to just apply that markup to the $53.95 a share that the market's banking on for the fiscal year that begins in October. At $1,000, Apple would be trading at just 15 times the $65.82 a share that landing 22% ahead of the target implies.

But it gets better.

A lot better.

You haven't seen anything yet
Apple beats are based on what the pros were forecasting at the time. Analysts have a silly ritual. They miss a quarter. They jack up their estimates. It isn't enough. A quarter later, they jack them up again. Yes, this even happened during last year's quarterly miss -- as analysts slapped their foreheads and realized that Apple would be selling a ton of iPhones during the new holiday quarter.

Let's flesh out the magnitude of this very important point. Just six months ago, analysts were expecting a profit of $34.77 a share in fiscal 2012 and $38.96 a share in 2013. Today, those targets have increased by 35% to $46.94 a share this year, and 38% to $53.95 a share come next year. In other words, even before we get to the actual beat, the starting line is being moved up aggressively.

Here, history teaches us that the further out you go, the larger the gap between perception and eventual realization will be.

What I'm trying to tell you is that if you eye the fiscal 2015 target of $80.59 a share -- argue that $1,000 would be a pretty cheap price for Apple then -- that you shouldn't be surprised when Wall Street's estimates are far higher than even that as we get closer.

So don't be surprised if Apple hits $1,000 in a matter of months -- and not years. Time has been very kind to Apple. Reality has been even kinder.
