Two injured in 'mail explosion'
Two men have received minor injuries in a "small explosion" at a company in Wokingham, Berkshire.
Thames Valley Police were called to Oaklands Business Centre just after 0900 GMT after reports that an item of mail had ignited.

The building was evacuated and a cordon has been set up around the site.

Police said they were aware of a similar incident in central London on Monday but it was too soon to speculate on any possible connection.

South Central Ambulance Trust said two men, aged in their 30s, had been treated for minor injuries and were not being taken to hospital.

Fourteen people were evacuated from the building.

On Monday, a woman received minor injuries in another "small" explosion at an office building at the Capita building in Victoria Street, Victoria, in central London.

LONDON, Feb 5 (Reuters) - European shares extended losses in late morning trade on Monday after police said a letter bomb exploded at a London office and one employee was injured.

"You can see eurostocks have taken a bit of a hit but I think we are trying to find out more information," said a London-based trader.

A letter bomb exploded at a London office on Monday, injuring one woman employee. Police said the area in Victoria Street in central London was cordoned off after they received reports of a suspicious package.

By 1115 GMT, the pan-European FTSEurofirst 300 index was 0.1 percent lower at 1,536.1 after falling to 1,534.7 on reports of the bomb explosion, near an intra-day low of 1,534.35.

Feb. 5 (Bloomberg) -- A letter bomb exploded in the same road as the U.K.'s Scotland Yard police headquarters, police said.

The incident happened at a business in Victoria Street, about 200 yards from the police building. A female member of staff at the unnamed business was taken to hospital with minor injuries, police said in an e-mailed statement.

The road was closed off and police explosives experts are examining the remains of the device. Victoria Street leads past Scotland Yard to the Houses of Parliament and is the location of the main offices of the Department of Trade and Industry.

The bomb was set off at the headquarters of Capita Group Plc, the British Broadcasting Corp. said. Capita, which operates London's congestion charge, didn't answer calls from Bloomberg News.
