"Oh no! The dollar's going higher! Bad trend. This could mean everything from the Federal Reserve not cutting rates as fast as we would like to worse earnings at the multinationals. It might also slow the coming European takeover wave I have been counting on.

There. There's the story that will never be written. Nobody wants to talk about the stronger dollar. They only want to talk about the weaker dollar and all of the negatives that allegedly come with it. And no one anywhere will write that a stronger dollar is not what we want.

I admit that this stuff is just insanity. The people who write and speak of the weak dollar's negativity simply have no knowledge of history. They refuse to look at the facts. They simply have to spin things negatively.

As is the case so often, particularly when I was short stocks, I have no choice but to remember what really happens when we get these dollar moves.

It is so much easier to sound intelligent and be negative, so much easier.

Sometimes I wish I could simply forget history and take the "everything is negative" rap. I would be revered as a genius.

Frankly, I would rather be reviled as an idiot ... and make the money."
