Trade Idea (Weekly Market Update): we're placing a limit to sell S&P 500 (SP500.I) at 1380 with a stop at 1395 and initial target 1335. We believe this is the end of the bull run since the summer and that there's plenty of bearish triggers heading into 2007: slowing growth (GDP tomorrow), inverted yield curve, wage inflation/higher input prices = lower profit margins and elevated energy prices.

As for short exposure, a lower growth view will ultimately spill over into consumer discretionaries - be sure to check "Trading Strategies" under "Research" on a regular basis for recommendations in this group and others.
