A companhia do Bill Gates já possuia 8% enquanto o Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal detinha 23% . O Principe , já este ano tinha comprado a cadeia Fairmont e a idéia é que pretenderá uma fusão das marcas em termos de distribuição para aproveitar sinergias .

Quanto a Bill Gates , anda a diversificar o seu portfolio , como o comprova por ex. a joint-venture na semana passada com a PNM Resources para criarem uma nova companhia eléctrica.

Bill Gates and Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, two of the richest men in the world, have joined forces to launch a $3.7 billion (£2 billion) bid for Four Seasons Hotels, the Canadian luxury hotel chain.

The New York-listed company, which is controlled by the family of the Canadian billionaire Isadore Sharp, through his Triples Holdings investment company, said yesterday that it had received an offer of $82 a share from Mr Gates and Prince Alwaleed.
