Hausse indices show the ratio between the number of companies last giving positive signal and the total number of companies. The index may take values between 0 and 100, where 0 means that all companies last gave negative signal, and 100 means that all companies last gave positive signal. High values (90 or above) indicate a warning that the market is too bullish, and that a major reaction or reversal soon may start. Accordingly are low values (10 or below) taken as signs of a broad bearmarket which soon is over, and that the prices will start rising again.
