SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- Gasoline futures climbed to a fresh record high on the New York Mercantile Exchange, with the June contract climbing as high as $1.464 per gallon, up 1.28 cents.
Market concerns over high demand ahead of the Memorial Day weekend, which is the usual start to the summer driving season, have been climbing.
June crude is up 8 cents at $41.58 per barrel.
