Segundos Saldos?

Vamos aguardar.

"Nokia Has More Downgrades in Store"

"Matt Hoffman, you are my hero. You downgraded Nokia (NOK:NYSE ADR - commentary - research) on March 28, with the stock at $19.56. You alone told people to get out. You gave Schwab Soundview clients the call of their lives and you need to be congratulated.

"Our decision to downgrade is largely due to our checks that show for the first time in many years, substantial price moves by Nokia on flagship GSM products do not seem to have resulted in market share increases for the company," Hoffman wrote in that brilliant report. "When combined with the reports we are hearing from contacts close to the company that the normally bulletproof Nokia ship seems to be suffering from reorganization blues, we decided to move to neutral."

Bravo.

Just the kind of research you want.

Going into this monumental Nokia blow-up, there were 14 buys and just three neutrals, Hoffman's among them. Tim Luke from Lehman Brothers and Hasan Imam from Weisel were the other two.

That's why the stock keeps getting hammered; one analyst after another has to downgrade the stock. There are still five more buys out there, and I don't know how those stay buys given the magnitude of the shortfall. In the old days, when I was running the hedge fund, I would have phoned the head of the desk after a call like this and said, "I am going to pour the business on because of Hoffman."

I hope there's still that kind of spirit out there. Hoffman deserves it.

P.S. I don't know Hoffman from Adam but I wish I did. "
