U.S. Feb industrial production up 0.7%
WASHINGTON (CBS.MW) -- U.S. industrial output rose a sharper-than-expected 0.7 percent in February, the Federal Reserve reported Monday.
Economists polled by CBS MarketWatch had expected output to rise 0.4 percent in the month after rising 0.8 percent in January.
Manufacturing output jumped a full 1.0 percent in February after a 0.2 percent increase in the prior month, the Fed said.
Capacity utilization rose to 76.6 percent in January from a revised 76.1 percent in January.
