Sinais de reversão de tendência no nas...
The rationale behind an outside day reversal is that a sudden increase in volatility
is usually a sign of profit taking, or of bargain buying. Conversely, an inside day
is a sudden decrease in volatility, which means that investors have decided to sit
tight and not trade, possibly in anticipation of economic news or a seasonal trend.
In either case, both inside and outside days often coincide with a reversed trend.
The other key to outside week bearish reversals is an actual switch from a winning
week to a losing week. By that I mean that you actually want to see your outside week
to close at levels lower than it opened, to confirm the loss of bullish momentum. Or,
in the case of reversing a downtrend, you'd want to see the outside week as a winning
week with your previous week as a losing week. While you don't always get this
pattern, it is a meaningful question that will be answered by the end of tomorrow; we
have a lot of ground to make up from major losses earlier this week.
Keep an eye out for this pattern in the future. In itself it does not signal the end
of a trend, but it will support other information you'll be using to make market
forecasts.
