NBC and Vivendi agree merger
"PARIS, Sept 2 - Vivendi Universal said on Tuesday it had agreed a show business merger with General Electric's television network NBC to create a new giant in the global entertainment industry.
After a board meeting in Paris, Vivendi said the new company would combine assets including NBC's broadcast network and cable television channels with Vivendi's Univesal Studios in a venture that would be 80-percent owned by General Electric."

No ranking global é a 2ª maior empresa do mundo (Citigroup em 1º), sendo também 2ª no que diz respeito aos lucros obtidos (ExxonMobil é a que tem os maiores lucros do mundo, sendo o Citigroup o 3º).
