O Buffet pode converter as obrigações em acções ao preço de 3.42, ou seja, pode inundar o mercado de acções e ganha muito dinheiro. Quem sabe se não a veremos na casa dos 3.50?

Sinceramente, não me parece que tenha sido isso que provocou a inversão. Continuo a pensar que foi apenas o acompanhar do movimento de queda do Nasdaq que impediu a LVLT de confirmar o "breakout" e não alguma notícia em particular.

Investors Convert Level 3 Notes to Stock

BROOMFIELD, Colo., Jun 20, 2003 (AP Online via COMTEX) -- Level 3 Communications said a group of three institutional investors, including Berkshire Hathaway, agreed to exchange $457 million in convertible bond notes for 161 million shares of the fiber-optic company's common stock.

The transaction, announced Thursday, reduces Level 3's long-term debt and will generate interest savings of about $41 million per year, the company said.

Billionaire Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway, along with Longleaf Partners Funds and Legg Mason, purchased $500 million in Level 3 notes in July of last year, at a time when the telecommunications company was stumbling. The investment was intended to fund acquisitions as the industry consolidated.

The notes were to mature in 10 years and paid 9 percent cash interest; they could be converted into stock at a price of $3.41 per share. The investors had already converted $43 million of the notes into 13 million shares of stock prior to Thursday's transaction.

Shares in Level 3 gained 35 cents Thursday on the Nasdaq Stock Market, but were down 30 cents Friday to $7.10.

Level 3 has built a 20,000-mile fiber-optic network around the world, serving customers such as the regional Bell carriers, Internet service providers and cable TV companies.

Que eu me tenha apercebido, não saiu nenhuma notícia relevante para a LVLT nás últimas duas sessões. Basicamente, ela acompanhou a correcção do mercado e não conseguiu confirmar o "breakout" que parecia ir fazer na sessão de Quinta-feira.

... teve alguma noticia que lhe travou a subida e possa indicar descida acentuada? é que não é normal uma vela daquele tamanho com forte volume seguida de outra vela (correctiva? ou final de subida?) sem que tenha havido algo que tivesse inicialmente sido mal interpretado pelos investidores que eventualmente estarão a corrigir agora o erro de má interpretação.
