U.S. Nov. ISM nonmanufacturing index falls to 60.1%
WASHINGTON (CBS.MW) -- The nonmanufacturing side of the U.S. economy expanded at a slightly slower pace in November, according to the Institute for Supply Management.
The ISM nonmanufacturing index fell to 60.1 percent in November from 64.7 in October.
Readings over 50 percent indicate a majority of firms say business is getting better or no worse.
The new orders index dropped to 60.1 percent from 64.4 percent. Economists were expecting a slight pullback in the index to about 63.9 percent.
Thirteen of seventeen industries were expanding, two were contracting and two were unchanged.
