Korea's Hanaro Announces Partnership With Beijing Teletron
SEOUL -(Business Asia)- Hanaro Telecom Inc.'s today announced that the Company has signed a joint development agreement with Beijing Teletron to provide broadband access service in the Yi Zhuang Economic Technological Development Area (herein after called Yi Zhuang). High-speed broadband service is presently not available to many companies in this high tech park.
Yi Zhuang, located in the south-east section of Beijing, is a state-level economic development area. This location has attracted both notable international companies and high tech enterprises from 35 countries, including 38 companies listed in "Fortune 500" and more than 80 multinational companies, including Coca-Cola, Nokia, GE, IBM etc.
According to Chief Executive Chang-Bun Yoon Beijing operations, "We are very pleased with this alliance and what it can mean to both companies in terms of increasing the revenue base and adding to shareholder value."
About Hanaro Telecom, Inc. is a provider of high-speed Internet access, local telephony, multimedia, data and Internet data center services in Korea. The Company offers its subscribers always-on, high-speed Internet access at speeds up to 10 Mbps (megabits per second) over its own and leased networks.
