number bumps and "better-than-expected," and they got it.

There will be some talk that because eBay didn't guide to $1.35, there's some disappointment. To which I say, please, give me a break -- this stock is selling at 70 times earnings, and maybe it should be at 68 times earnings?


Understand that this whole game is a sham. Mutual fund managers own eBay because it has momentum as defined by "beating posted Wall Street numbers" and "raising estimates."

That's how they play. They were rewarded in this cheap and tawdry game. To which I say, fine, but you beat the wheel again. You got Double Zero. But one day you will hit red or black, and when that happens, you will lose all that you gain from here. "
