U.S. crude stocks up, gas stocks down: Energy Dept (10:39am 06/23/04
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- Oil futures fell after the Energy Department reported that crude stocks for the week ended June 18 were up 2.5 million barrels at 305.4 million barrels.
Motor gasoline supplies fell by 800,000 barrels in the latest week to 205.1 million, the data showed.
Distillate inventories were up 600,000 barrels at 110.4 million barrels.
August crude is down 25 cents at $38 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
July unleaded gasoline is down 0.29 cent at $1.196 a gallon and July heating oil is down 0.7 cent at $1.01 a gallon.
