UMich April consumer sentiment revised to 94.2 vs 93.2

WASHINGTON (CBS.MW) -- Consumer sentiment improved in late April, according to a survey released Friday by the University of Michigan.
The UMich consumer sentiment index improved to 94.2 in April from 93.2 earlier in the month.
The index was still down from 95.8 in March.
Economists were expecting an increase to about 93.9 in late April.
The current conditions index rose to 105.0 in late April from 104.1 earlier in the month.
This is down from 106.8 in March.
The expectations index rose to 87.3 in late April from 86.2, which was the lowest level since October.
The index is down from 88.8 in March.
